The Best Girlboss Mindset Ever
Want a better girlboss mindset? Marie Forleo's mantra is exactly what you need to keep your chin up, no matter how much money you're making.
A few months ago, I was mid-launch with my program, Girlboss Uplevel, and even though it was going well, it wasn't going well enough for me to feel "successful".
I felt like I'd plateaued, like the strategies I was using weren't enough (or maybe I wasn't enough), that I would never get to $5k months, forget $10k!
So what did I do? I stopped putting in the effort. I barely engaged, barely showed up on stories, and spent a lot of days crying about my "failures". It was only later that I realised that if I'd focused on working through my challenges and kept my chin up, I could have had a much more profitable launch.
But instead, I just decided to give up.
Looking back, I realise that my mindset was holding me back. Like, a lot. Because the truth isn't that I failed -- the truth is that I learned what doesn't work in my business, and I learned how to identify the blocks holding me back. Like the awesome Marie Forleo said, "I win or I learn, but I never lose."
Read that again. "I win or I learn, but I never lose." That's the greatest and best mantra any girlboss can have. In a world where we're constantly undermined for "doing nothing" just because we work from home using our phones and laptops, it's easy to feel like shit when things don't go as planned. But with this mantra, things shift right away. Perpectives change. Your girlboss mindset gets stronger than ever, gearing you up for success.
The next time you feel like a "failure", repeat it to yourself. When your relatives ask you why you haven't found a "real" job yet, tell yourself this mantra. And when you hit your monthly income goals but wish you'd done more, remind yourself that you're a winner and a learner -- but never a loser.
